National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA has declared suspended DCP, Abba Kyari wanted for being one of the leaders of a Cartel of Drug Barons operating the Brazil, Singapore network.   Oyo State Governor: Seyi Makinde Oyo  State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has said he will announce the new Olubadan of Ibadanland on Monday. Makinde made this known on Saturday at the grand finale of the burial of the late Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Ibadan. He said all issues hindering the announcement and installation of the new Olubadan had been resolved. “This is another victory for the Ibadan traditional institution; the process and the system were never broken, so we have reverted to the age long system,” Makinde stated. The governor said he had received a letter from the Olubadan-in-Council in respect of the announcement of the new monarch. According to him, Ibadanland has a unique procedural step as regards the enthronement of a new Oba and this has been in existence for ages.   Engineers on Site Inspection Three persons were confirmed dead and about four others including a security guard and construction workers were reportedly trapped on Saturday after a three-storey building under construction on Akanbi Crescent, in the Yaba area of Lagos collapsed. It was learnt that a worker, identified only as Sunday, was rescued from the rubble. The incident, which occurred around 3.30 pm, was coming barely three months after a 21-storey building in Ikoyi, owned by the late Managing Director, Fourscore Heights Limited, Femi Osibona, collapsed, trapping over 50 persons. More than 40 persons, including Osibona, his personal assistant, Onyinye Enekwe, and friend, Wale Bob-Oseni, were killed.   ASUU on strike meeting The National Executive Committee of the Academic Staff Union of Universities will commence a two-day meeting at the University of Lagos, Akoka, today, to finalise the union’s decision on an impending strike. ASUU will make the final decision on the strike – to be reached by voting – known at the end of the meeting on Sunday,  Saturday PUNCH  has learnt. The union had expressed grievances over the failure of the Federal Government to fulfill some of the agreements it made as far back as 2009. ASUU had on November 15, 2021 given the Federal Government a three-week ultimatum over the failure to meet the demands.
